Trip to Bremerhaven

Imagen
We took a 5-day trip to Bremerhaven (northern Germany, on the coast). Viviana told me what we were going to see and do, and to be honest, I wasn't really excited about going. We spent two of the days changing trains for nine hours each way. When we finally arrived, I was exhausted and overwhelmed, because to top it all off, they had a terrible room system. In the end, I shared a room with Esther (my Erasmus roommate) and a friend of Viviana's named Amelie.  The rest of the days we spent visiting museums or attending conferences about immigration and climate change. To be honest, I understood almost nothing and was very bored. I don't understand the point of traveling so far just to visit museums and walk around in mud. We did two excursions: one looking for worms in the mud and the other a two-hour hike in a nature park (ver y ugly, in my opinion). So, I didn't enjoy the activities of the trip at all.  But it wasn't all bad; the fun part of the trip was the time I...

Meeting Viviana

The girls in my class are really nice to me; they talk to me and try to include me in everything they can. One in particular is named Viviana. She's half Peruvian and speaks Spanish, so I've been able to talk to her easily, and we've become friends.  She is really kind to me and has helped me a lot to find my place at the school.  During the holidays we met up one day and she showed me her favorite shops in Munich. After strolling around and trying on clothes, we went to a Five Guys and she helped me place my order by translating everything for me. It was very easy ordering with her help.  After lunch, we strolled through the city center, and she bought her brother a cinnamon roll. Minutes later, it started snowing heavily; in no time, we were covered in snow. It was amazing to see how much snow fell in just a few seconds. It was getting late, so we took the train back. She lives far away, so we got off at different stops. I had a wonderful day, and it was great to...

strolling through Munich

I simply adore this city. The streets are wide and elegant, and Munich 's city center is wonderful for walking.  I love that it has so many shops because I love walking around and window shopping. I could spend all day walking and admiring the shops on Maximilianstrasse .  Whenever I can, I go to Munich to see every corner of the city. I'm very curious, and this city fascinates me. It has many churches and a rich history. It also has beautiful parks to relax in and enjoy nature. However, it's very cold, and the weather is truly unpredictable.  I usually go alone, walking while listening to music, thinking about my life and all that I can do and learn here.  This city is very big and bustling; you see all kinds of people. The atmosphere reminds me somewhat of Madrid . They're not related, but I feel a similar vibe because there's a great variety of people and different lifestyles, typical of big cities.  After a walk, I usually have a coffee and relax. Sin...
